2 Carr Farm Close, Glossop

Excellent location for both town and moors, plus only a 5 min drive to the top of snake pass. Hot tub was great and very relaxing. The conservatory was our favourite room, and didn't really use the front room. Beds were really comfortable. Plenty of kitchen utensils in well equipped kitchen cupboards. Areas for improvement Main bedroom door sticks in the door frame. This is easily fixed and I can't understand why it hasn't been reported before. Dust and cobwebs behind doors eg accessing games cupboard in dining room and at the sides of sofas, eg around the floor lamp switch in the corner of the conservatory plus found nicorette patches around smaller front bedroom. This is also easily remedied. Ensuite could benefit from a blind in the window.

This modern home from home is ideally placed for tourists. It is 33 mins by train to Manchester Piccadilly trains every half hour and Snake Pass across the High Peak District A57 starts at the end of the estate. You have all the best scenery and hiking trails at your fingertips. The house is a 4 bed detached with 2 parking spaces. It has all the convenience of hot water which is instant and hot with good pressure. Light switches are where you expect them, WiFi is fast and reliable and there are plenty of sockets for charging. For TV fans big screens in almost every room. Maximum occupancy is 8 in full size adult beds with plump, thick mattresses that are supportive and comfortable. Leather sofas are made for relaxing and more mature guests can use the cushions for a more upright position. Dining chairs are high backed and supportive to enjoy your meals. The house is very well equipped right up to max occupancy although the amount of furniture inevitably restricts walking space for smaller groups and sometimes impedes access to curtains. The accommodation will ideally suit combinations of adults, teenagers and older children who do not require bed guards cot on request. The luxury hot tub is a professional rigid sided pool with automatically controlled heating and chemical maintenance. My shoulders and feet were very appreciative and I loved it all week. It is important that you take bath towels which are not supplied hand towels are. As with all family homes a little TLC would enhance the experience particularly some aesthetic recaulking in the bathrooms and the main bedroom side cabinet nearest the window, the drawers will not open. These minor items did not detract from a very comfortable stay and a superb holiday. Many thanks.

What a lovely home! the beds were by far the most comfortable I have ever slept aside from my own. The shower head is faulty in the ensuite, but one of the guests adjusted it so no harm done. They spotted that the shower tray may need replacing too. The games were a lovely touch, as was the welcome basket and binder of top tips thank you!

We had a lovely week staying at this delightful house in the Peak District. The location is great for going out and about to explore this stunning region and is also just a 15 20 minute walk from pubs and restaurants. The hosts could not have been more helpful and communication was excellent.

We stayed in October 2023 and found the house just as expected. The house was spacious with living room and a conservatory good for kids to be in with having a tv with a dining room separating them. Kitchen had all amenities we required. Bedrooms were good size with 2 double bed rooms 1with ensuite and 2 twin rooms and a family bathroom. Bonus hot tub in the garden! The driveway could fit 2 cars on there. Great local amenities such as restaurantscafe's, supermarkets and pubsbars all in 10 min walking distance. Great places to visit nearby too. Received a nice welcoming call from the owner who ensured we could call shoukd we have any issues, but we didn't. Only thing to note was a few bulbs were out. Would recommend this property.

2 Carr Farm is a real home from home. It is well equipped, clean and very comfortable. The owners were brilliant sending out a very comprehensive email and a courtesy phone call. We would definitely go back.

We chose 2 Carr Farm close for our annual ladies family get together and it was everything we needed. Lovely homely house which was clean and well equipped. The beds were really comfy and the hot tub was a bonus. The house is in a residential area but its very quiet. The owner went out of her way to contact us before and during our stay and was very helpful as we needed to bring 3 cars. We were able to park one vehicle in the grounds of the farm at the back of the property which is another property available for rent from the same owner. We came for a weekend together and to chill, this property was ideal for us, definitely recommend. We ate at La Corrente in Glossop which was about 15 mins walk and a really nice place to eat.

Excellent property. Beautiful inside and super clean. Excellent facilities and perfect for 2 nights. Parking on drive, and easy access once you get to the property, owner was very prompt with any questions and we gave them a call and they answered straight away. Super location, very quiet area. Jacuzzi was amazing and on all of the time. Wonderful comfy beds, spacious rooms and lots of space in the house.

We have just had a most fantastic holiday at 2 carr farm close, and highly recommend this property. The house was clean, comfortable and well maintained, and the hot tub was a huge bonus. It was also very child friendly. The area is so scenic and really beautiful with lots to do. Best of all are the hosts who were extra friendly, kind and patient and ever so helpful!!! You will not be disappointed!

Overall we really enjoyed our stay at 2 Carr Farm Close. The house was very well equipped and there were toys and games for the children. The owners were very helpful and even phoned and emailed us ahead of arrival to check we we knew where we were going. They also gave helpful suggestions for activities in the area. The hot tub was enjoyed by everyone in our group. A couple of problems the thermostat on the tumble dryer appeared to be broken as it kept cutting out after about 10 minutes difficult as we had to take our own towels and this meant it wasn't easy to dry them. Also, there were no oven gloves in the kitchen and only one tea towel we know the owners asked for everything to be washed in the dish washer, which we did but a couple of tea towels at least would have been handy. Overall, an enjoyable experience and the house was well located in a quiet area but within easy walking distance of Glossop centre.

Comms with owner were excellent as were instructions for the facilities. House was well kept and clean. We used the hot tub twice in March. Plenty of crockery and cutlery. Would happily stay again with a family party

It is a lovely house. The owners are great and always available. Glossop itself is quiet, and while we were there we unfortunately had a lot of rain. Plenty of places to visit as everything is close.

Even before we had set off on our journey, the kind owners of this place gave us a call and answered any questions we had, suggestions on what and where to visit and recommendations. This is the first time I received such a call and really appreciated it as it made us feel like we knew the place before we even got there! The cottage is beautiful, set in a lovely location and a stone throw away from a beautiful ride through Snake lane, ladybower reservoir and walks for all levels. The cottage comes Fully furnished, we didnt need for anything additional, and the hot tub was a super bonus! The beds were reallycomfortable and honestly felt like home away from home! Really enjoyed spending time here and cannot wait to come back again. Thank you to the owners for your hospitality!

Lovely property, on a quiet culdesac in a very nice area of Glossop, plenty to see and do locally. Extremely helpful host, having contacted us in advance she bought us essentials on arrival and set up bedroom exactly as required for our little girl.

Instructions on how to use the microwave would have been useful. We struggled to use it, even though we have one ourselves at home!

The house was lovely where we stayed. The owners welcomed us and made sure everything was alright. I would recommend the accommodation to my friends.

What an absolutely top class holiday home. Beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable beds and the hot tub is just the cherry on the cake! Brilliant home. Owners were so friendly and welcoming. 30th birthday celebration and we would come back here again. Close enough for taxi to Manchester for a night out or grab the train in for the xmas market.

Absolutely brilliant hosts. Went above and beyond. The house was spotless. Set up really well for 2 families. Hot tub was ready to go and lovely and warm at all times. The hosts contacted us a few days before with instructions and recommendations and were on hand all week for anything we needed. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely holiday home my 2 kids loved it very clean and got all the stuff you need for ur lil ones travel cot, high chair was well pleased thank you for makeing our stay lovely. The only thing what could of been better was haveing a shelter for the hot tub i only went in it 2 times all weekend cause it was raining but we had an amazing time thanks again 5 star

This was a brilliant stay from start to finish. The owner of the property was extremely welcoming and was available at all times either by phone or even Whatsapp. The hot tub was bubbling and warm as soon as we arrived. The house was absolutely perfect for all of us 8 people, it was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The neighborhood was so peaceful and felt safe. Our main reason for the trip was to visit the Peak District, which we did and the house couldn't of been located in a better area for going there. I would like to thank the owners for their hospitality and kindness and we hope to visit again very very soon! Highly recommended.

This is a very well appointed house with all the appliances etc you could want. Very comfortable beds. Its close to the town but also within easy reach of many places and the beautiful countryside The hot tub is a great bonus The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful and made the stay very special
