Stunning property set in the very pretty village of Wensley. The spacious courtyard at the rear of the property is a real suntrap and perfect for relaxing in after a day out. The property is very comfortable and well equipped. We all really enjoyed our stay.
This cottage is a beautiful old building with lots of lovely surrounding walks ... This cottage is a beautiful old building with lots of lovely surrounding walks to do, my only disappointment was the comfort of the bed was not the best and I didn't have a good night's sleep, also the garden furniture cushions were left out and they were wet with the rain so couldn't sit outside but otherwise it was a lovely place
We have had an amazing 2 days at Blindwell House celebrating a special family members birthday . We found the cottage very clean and it had everything you would need for a family vacation. We had a newborn baby with us and we were given a brand new cot and bedding for him to use.Our party consisted of 6 adults and a baby and we were more than comfortable in our rooms and the family dining area was perfect for a table buffet, games night and a picky bits breakfast !! We visited Matlock on the Saturday which was fabulous and we visited nearby Bakewell which was fantastic. We would highly recommend the cottage and its facilities and we hope to return in the summer to enjoy some of the nearby walks. Thank you Clair and David
A lovely cosy cottage in a pretty village with lots of things to do and places to see nearby. There are lots of steps in the property and you have to mind your head woth low ceilings. Very comfy beds and sofas and nice to have games and jigsaws. Excellent they provided a dog crate, toys and blanket but there is only a courtyard with no grass. There are easy dog walks nearby. Had an issue with the heating & hot water but this was sorted promptly by the owner who kept us informed. Kitchen floor and bins could do with a thorough clean the rest was fine. Chris
Four of us retired ladies had a really lovely stay for a few nights at Blindwell House. The house is clean and comfortable with a large and fully equipped kitchen and lovely countryside views. The hospitality gifts were very welcome and we enjoyed relaxing with wine and biscuits round the wood burner on the chilly evenings. The location is a great base for visiting all the local landmarks and shops. Communication with the owners, Luke and Helen, was easy and particular thanks to them for providing directions to the house when unexpected roadworks caused temporary diversions which confused the satnav.

We have had a wonderful break at the cottage. Great character and very well equipped. Very comfy and homely and each room was decorated beautifully. The welcome pack was a bonus and all info we needed was in the booklet. Our party consisted of 6 adults andi would definitely recommend this property to book. Great stay!
Esther
This was a delightful place to stay. The house was warm and welcoming and the welcome pack which included wine and chocolate biscuits was particularly thoughtful. Great location with excellent footpaths going off in all directions. Our well behaved dog felt very welcome too and enjoyed the treats and the walks. Parking in the small car park right next door was not a problem. Pubs close by as well as a fish and chip shop, and Chinese and Indian takeaways were a short drive away. Excellent touring spot for visiting Peak District high lights. We would love to stay again one day
Chantal
We were delighted with Blindwell House, which met all our needs and more. Amazingly comfortable sofas, throws and cushions adding perfectly to the cozy atmosphere of the living room alongside the woodburner. Also really lovely bedrooms, everything to high standards, all made for a brilliantly restful week. The owners were particularly kind, and generous with welcome goodies for both 2 and 4legged visitors, as well as providing a stack of informationmapsleaflets about all the beautiful and historical places nearby. Highly recommended!
