Chapelfield Reviews

Excellent accommodation. Located ideally for us. Very clean and tidy. Very quiet. Spacious there were 6 adults. Comfortable beds. Plenty of parking. Would certainly book again.
Kenneth
We spent a lovely family Christmas at Chapelfield. It was a gorgeous property with the most stunning views. It was warm, cosy and comfortably furnished. David and Sally were extremely helpful when the heating unexpectedly stopped working. They came straight away with extra heaters and more wood for the log burner, making sure the boiler was fixed as quickly as possible. Because of this it didnt detract from our enjoyment of this amazing place! Dont hesitate to book, you really wont be disappointed!
Abosultly fantastic cottage. Big kitchen to do your cooking, warm log fire living room and a beautiful scenic walk to the pub next day. Great place to come with friends or family. And the hosts was extreamly helpfull. Thank You
We had a great stay, the house was lovely.
We had a wonderful weekend at Chapelfield beautiful house, very well maintained with stunning views. Cots and highchairs were provided for the babies which was very helpful. Thank you for a great weekend!
Kimberley
All three generations of the family loved this warm, spacious, wellequipped house with fantastic views enhanced by the fabulous autumn colours. Friendly cows and calves in the adjacent field came to say hello at breakfast time and the tawny owls hooted at nighttime whilst the bats flitted about. Chapelfield was the perfect find for a family gathering for celebrations covering a significant Wedding Anniversary for the oldest members of our party and an exciting birthday for the youngest. We enjoyed lovely visits to interesting places within a short drive from the property, including a childrens farm, a tram museum and Chatsworth House with stunning grounds and beautiful interior. We would highly recommend Chapelfield, not only for the accommodation and its situation, but also for the thoughtfulness and helpfulness of the hosts. We didnt want to return home to reality and would love to stay there again.
Theresa
Lovely big house, surrounded by rolling countryside, views. Very clean and comfortable. Perfect for a big family 'get together'. Lovely woodland walk nearby.
Rather nice. a few minor things. Gutters needed cleaning out as when it rained water came down the front windowsdoors. The trees needed pruning off the roof
Angela
Chapelfield has everything you need for a great holiday. It's well equipped and caters perfectly for a larger group of people. The beds were comfortable. The views are wonderful and the house is in a peaceful setting. The only suggestion I would make would be to have a larger toaster, rather than just the 2 slice one.
Had a lovely stay at Chapelfield and managed to explore a lot of the area despite the weather. There is so much to see within a short car ride away. The house was very comfortable and wellequipped and was perfect for a 3 generation gathering for my 60th birthday. There was plenty of space to spread out so that we weren't on top of each other but also space so that we could eat together and also come together to play games without disturbing those not playing. Would highly recommend.

Chaplefield was perfect for the 4 scattered school friends. Space, comfort and ideal location, along with everything provided what more could we ask for. Gillian. June 2025.
Very spacious and comfortable accommodation, with fantastic views. Plenty of crockery and cutlery, and all essentials like dishwasher tablets and washing powder provided, plus milk, tea, biscuits etc. Extremely helpful owners. Lots to do in the area for adults and children.
We all had a fabulous time, the location is wonderful and the house is simply gorgeous, so much space and really well fitted out. Had everything we needed and it was very peaceful. Thank you!
We had a great stay here. When we arrived it was super clean and tidy and felt very welcoming. We want to thank the owners who gave us an extra hour and a half on our last day to check out. It was very much appreciated!! Only suggestion I would have would be to maybe have the what three words location added as we got lost trying to find the property on the first day.
Such a great property, wonderful host and a fantastic location. Couldnt recommend it e light. One of several properties owned by the same people and they all look stunning!
If anything, the pictures of this property undersell it. It's amazing, very spacious and wellequipped, in a beautiful location. Highly recommended!
Laurence
Lovely place to stay. All very clean and tidy. Plenty of room. Ample parking. The host came to see of things were ok. Really enjoyed ourselves.
We loved the house. Lovely bedrooms, loads of room downstairs, plenty of bathrooms, incredible views. The owners were really helpful and responsive. The house was really clean and well equipped. Thanks for everything.
One of the best cottages we have stayed in. Lovely location
The cottage was perfect for our group of 7 adults. It was lovely and warm, which were appreciated very much. We were able to use all of the amenities with ease. The kitchen was very well stocked, the only thing we needed was a kitchen scale, and perhaps a slightly bigger fridge. Also, the downstairs bathrooms could have used a hand towel. Otherwise we have no complaints. There was ample parking
The property is superb and in a beautiful setting. The views are fantastic and walks are off the doorstep. It's a high spec property with everything there as published. Communication with the company and owners was efficient and correct. It was a perfect house and location for our post Christmas family get together. The only downside we did note.. the fridge is on the small side for such a large household, especially if you don't want to shop regularly or go out for meals. Having said that, we coped and it didn't spoil our stay.
Property was gorgeous excellent space and location for my group. Clean and everything was easy to use. My only bit of feedback would be it needed bigger fridge to accommodate for the food. Owners were accommodation and popped round to make sure we were ok. Thank you for a lovely stay. We hope to book again soon.
A fabulous play to stay in a gorgeous location with walking from the door.
Jessica
This property was perfect for our group. A very comfortable building, warm and well furnished, this had all the amenities we needed ample bathrooms, plenty of plug sockets, large communal rooms... combined with lovely views and a useful location too. I would very happily book to stay here again without hesitation.
