Blue Ron's, New Mills

Fantastic property. Our family has an amazing time. James was the perfect host and met us on arrival and ran through everything. The games room is fab and we loved the set up outside. New Mills is great and the surrounding area beautiful. For a large family to get away you will love this place a little gem. Thanks so much for a great holiday.

This is a fabulous property! Great spaces and full of character. All the rooms are large and nicely appointed. We had a group of 7 adults and 2 teens and had so much space! Plenty of walking options nearby and is close to the shops and amenities. We appreciate the plentiful offroad parking, because parking seems to be at a premium in the area. Great base for family gettogethers

We had a family great weekend for Nanny Cats belated 70th that we never got to celebrate in Covid! There were 14 of us in total a range of ages and a furry friend too! The house is big enough for everyone to go off and have their own space but also to be able to sit together in the kitchen for meals. The hot tub and games room were an absolute hit with all ages and we loved having the upstairs living room as a bit of a breakout space! The area by the hot tub is lovely with a little decking and table and chairs. It was a typical British weekend when we went so we had all weathers in a day! The BBQ isnt under a cover so an umbrella or little canopy would be a welcome addition to be able to use the BBQ in all weathers! The garden is gravel which is ideal for parking. Theres a small very sloped grass part which is ideal for the dogs! House is finished to a really high standard with lovely rooms and everything you could need in the kitchen, bar and outdoors. We didnt explore much of the local area, but a quick walk up the hill and theres lots of lovely little local places and some shops etc. Its worth noting but it is on the description that you access the downstairs kitchen and bar from the gardencar park which is a small gravel slope path, we had to drive our Nan to the patio doors to get her up one step into the bar area. We would then drive to the front of the house and up a few steps to get her to the living room and bedroom on that floor. The stairs are quite steep from the basement level up so that wouldnt be an option. It is do able, but wouldnt be suitable if anyone was less mobile and not able to be carried. Obviously not a criticism as its the nature of that kind of house and is included on the pictures on description that its across the different floors. We had a lovely time and really appreciated the detailed info provided by James prior to checking in and the opportunity to have an additional 45minutes to check out which was needed getting all of our gang packed up out the door on the Sunday! We will definitely be back! Hopefully next Summer for Blue Rons weekend 2.0!

This was a great property for groups of friends to get together for a long weekend. The games room and the lounge were epic and got very well used. The kitchen was very well stocked and had great utensils. Parking was excellent would certainly book again.

As many have said, Blue Rons is a fantastic place, especially for a large group we had four families, mix of kids and adults and the dog. Facilities are great, everyone was fully covered, with the games room, bar and hot tub area being the firm favourites! Its a perfect location, in a great town so couldnt recommend it enough..just a shame we had to come home! Great comms from owners throughout so always felt, if any issues there werent any we would have been helped and sorted very easily.

Blue Ron's was perfect for a large family 12 of us stayed in total and there was still room to spare. Was nice to have your own bathroom each so not having to share. Games room was perfect, and such a nice hang out area. Only comment for improvement would be beds weren't the most comfortable, and also the water pressure for showers kept dropping out. However, all the great facilities more than made up for this, huge living room, hot tub, bar and games room and good sized kitchen made it a great choice for us and we would definately visit again.

Great place for a family holiday. The games room is great with a really nice pool table and dart board, fridges for drinks and a toilet to save running upstairs! The garden fantastic with a well designed decking which has a seating area, a gas BBQ and a hot tub! The area also has lots more of nice walks and many different pubs close by to chose from.

A great place to stay for our large group of 9 adults and two dogs. Ample space for us all and the bonus of a games room, hot tub and BBQ area. Loved the location and some good walks straight from the accommodation. Will definitely book again.

The Good Great Social Spaces The groundfloor bar area and pool table were fantastic and became the hub of our evenings. General Comfort The house initially looks good and is generally very comfortable and warm. Fantastic Location New Mills is an interesting little town with many good bars, shops, and places to get food. Areas for Improvement Privacy The living room is right on the pavement. Passersby frequently stare in, which future guests should be aware of. Lack of Information There was no welcome book or instruction manual. We didn't know when to put the bins out, and operating the hot tub was a guessing game. Low Water Pressure The water pressure throughout the house is very poor, resulting in weak, fluctuating showers. Fixtures Most of the toilet seats were poorly fitted and wonky. Urgent Maintenance Issue The external sewage pipe at the rear of the property appears to be broken or poorly fitted. When the topfloor toilets are flushed, waste water sprays out onto the rubbish bins. This is a significant hygiene hazard that needs immediate attention.

Location was fab, great walks, local amenities, visits to Buxton and Manchester using local transport. Issues with the day to day living at Blue Rons include freezer required defrosting & it was irritating not to be able to use properly. Scissors were ineffective, no oven gloves, water pressure caused issues with showering and 4 children and 2 adults suffered with skin reactions from the hot tub. A welcome package would have been appreciated.

Had a great weekend with friends at the end of January staying at Blue Rons. Great space, games rooms was one of the main reason this accommodation was booked and this was a great space and the evenings were spent down here, enjoying a game of pool and darts. Just be mindful of the steep steps from the kitchen to the upstairs, Didnt get to enjoy the outdoor space but maybe next time. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Some of the rooms the mattress might benefit from a topper. Main bedroom with king size mattress was great, Kitchen was really well equipped and it was great that it had a large fridge that can accommodate for the amount of people that can stay at the house. Was also good that the bar area in the games room had drink fridges. A lot of thought has gone into this accommodation and I would recommend it for large family or friends get togethers The area of New Mills is also very picturesque and we enjoyed a visit to Torrs Millennium walk. Great stay and will definitely try to come back.

This was a lovely house, it had been decorated for Christmas at the beginning of December and provided a brilliant space for a family get together. We'd highly recommend it.

The property was perfect for the size of the group 10 adults, 1 child and 2 dogs. The bar games room was a huge hit especially as we attended for New Year. Plus with it being off the kitchen its easy to prepare food without feeling out of it. I can imagine in summer sitting outside listening to the river and enjoying the sunset is amazing we did get a spectacular sunset one day. Not to forget the village this house is perfectly placed to walk to everywhere no driving required the villagers landlordsladies and restaurateurs are so friendly and welcoming. Finally the walks what can I say a walkers paradise you can go for miles on the doorsteps of the property but even if your not into that a must is the millennium walkway and Torr Mill.

The house with its amazing history and beautiful decor, was an wonderful place to spend with family making memories and having fun, no complaint from us, only good things.

I booked Blue Ron's for my 70th birthday celebration weekend for all the family 8 adults and 3 children. What an amazing house. The facilities are excellent, plenty of room for everyone. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The games room and bar area were fabulous. The kids had not really played pool or darts before and loved it, so most of the time was spent there. The kitchen had everything you needed. The hot tub was ready for us to use. We have not stayed in an Airbnb before or all of us staying in the same house together, but it worked very well and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. The only thing that spoiled it was that it rained all day on the Saturday so we didn't go out for very long. We ended up having pool and darts competitions which was great fun. We had a meal at Pride of the Peak which was excellent. A card, flowers and 70th balloon were waiting for me when we arrived, which was a nice touch and much appreciated. I would definitely recommend Blue Ron's. We could not fault anything about the house and the owner should be proud of the facilities he provides.

The listing doesnt do this place justice its a great house with plenty of space and doesnt feel crowded with 14 people. Facilities are kept in tip top condition and the hot tub is a real plus. We had a great time at Blue Rons and cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Lovely property, well maintained, clean. We were a huge group of five families coming together and it was brilliant for the kids and adults.

Amazing weekend. A real home from home. It had everything you needed and was clean and tidy. We loved the entertainment area and the hot tub was on and heated up. We got a text when we arrived to wish us a lovely stay and to give us a phone number to call if there were any issues, which there werent. Would definitely recommend and will be back!

Fantastic week staying at Blue Ron's. House has everything you could need. Great games room which both kids and adults enjoyed, well equipped kitchen, relaxing and spacious lounge and the bedrooms were so comfortable! We really couldn't have asked for more! Great location at the edge of New Mills which has a good selection of shops, cafes and pubs particularly the Masons Arms which is 2 minutes away. Owner was available and very helpful if needed. All in all a great weeks stay and we hope to be back!!

Stayed here for 4 nights to celebrate my birthday with family and friends. The place was absolutely stunning, enjoyed a lot of time in the bar room playing pool and darts, and relaxing in the hot tub. The kitchen and dining room were modern and spacious, and had everything we needed to cook a meal for a large group, and plenty of storage for food and drinks. The living room was spacious and comfortable m. Each of the bedrooms were comfortable and clean, most of which are ensuite, with plenty of bathroomtoilet space to accommodate all guests. Overall great experience and look forward to returning. Highly recommended for party groups and family gatherings.
