The Old Dairy Reviews

Helen
Great cottage with excellent garden. Perfect for families and within the lovely village of Hartington. Bear in mind if you have a small dog, you have to watch they donâ??t escape through the garden fence, you need to keep an eye on them! Lots of wildlife to see from the kitchen window and some great walks. Carsington Water within half an hour away for some fun on the water.
Peter
It's a great house in a lovely village.
Pauline
Hartington is a lovely village in a perfect location and the house is gorgeous. We were 3 retired couples but it would be perfect for families too.
Caroline
An excellent layout for our walking group of 3 couples and 2 singles, lovely size rooms and good quality furnishings etc. Although situated very near to the village which was convenient, once at the cottage it was really quiet and secluded. We appreciated the garden as it was v hot whilst there. The table tennis, darts and games were used!
Chris
Great location with the Hartington shops and pubs in easy walking distance. Excellent Friday evening fish and chips from the van on the green. Great centre for local walks and cycling as well exploring further afield. Good accommodation with outdoor space to relax, great for a family get together.
Steve
Fantastic cottage with great house, garden and facilities would recommend the house and the area.
Georgina
A very nice cottage, great location
Steve
Great location, great central spaces for a big group
Susan
Cottage is in a great location, very spacious and well equipped.
Roy
Excellent amount of space, very well equipped, good location
Moira
Comfortable and well equipped cottage which was ideal for seven of us and two dogs, although it is a bit of a disadvantage having to keep them on the lead due to the sheep in the adjacent field. This was clearly pointed out in the description of the cottage so no complaints from the humans but the dogs werenâ??t too happy!! Hartington is a lovely village with lots of walks right on your doorstep and a few shops which stock the basics. The Fish and Chips van visits on a Friday evening and was a real treat. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.
Jane
A lovely property and great location.
Susan
Well equipped cottage and great location. A few cobwebs in the corner but nothing that would stop us visiting this cottage again.
